Daphne Driessen studied Medicine at the University of Groningen. Her senior internship and master thesis and were focused on head and neck carcinoma. Since May 2019, she is a PhD Candidate at the department of Radiation Oncology and at the Biomedical MR research group within the department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the Radboud university medical center, Nijmegen. Her thesis focuses on several MRI applications for the diagnosis of cervical lymph node metastases in patients with head and neck cancer. The goal of the thesis is to pioneer MRI-guided individualized surgery and radiotherapy in head and neck cancer patients. She is supervised by Hans Kaanders, Tim Dijkema and Tom Scheenen.
